This Privacy Policy explains how Kinetic Incorporated dba CompScience (“Company”) receives and processes personal information as defined by applicable law from its customers and brokers (“Customer Personal Information” and “Broker Personal Information”) when you visit our website at www.compscience.com (“Site”), and engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, or events. Company provides workplace safety analytics SaaS solutions and workers’ compensation insurance products for its customers (“Services”). CompScience works with insurance brokers to provide these Services to its customers. “You” or “Your” may refer to an individual as a Company’s Customer or Broker.
1. What Information & Why.
In the course of conducting business, Company collects Customer Personal Information from Customers and Broker Personal Information from brokers that identifies or is associated with the individual customer or broker. This may occur when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products; when you access our Site; when you provide Visitor Personal Information (including name and email address) on Site so that Company can contact you to provide information about products and services; or when you interact with our SaaS solution. We may also collect Customer Personal Information from their account’s broker or insurance carrier.
Company receives or collects the following types of Customer and/or Broker Personal Information: First Name and Last Name; contact information (e-mail address, phone number, physical business address). Company uses this information to provide its products and perform the Services.
Usage, Device and Log Information. We collect information about you when you access and use the Site or the SaaS solution including your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, access times, browser type and language, Web pages you visit, device information, and other actions you take, in order to improve our Services, and/or develop new Services.
Cookies and other tracking technologies. We use technologies to collect information, which includes cookies. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us to improve the Services and your experience. Collection and Use of Aggregate Information. We may use aggregate information (not containing personal information) to analyze trends, administer the Site, track users’ movements, and gather broad demographic information on aggregate use.
Personal Information we collect from other sources. 2. With Whom?
Service Providers. Company shares personal information with trusted Service Providers for the business purposes of providing its products and includes the following types of services: website hosting, website analytics, CRM services, marketing analytics, safety review teams, safety analytics, file storage, camera integration partners, and insurance carriers.
Third parties. We and third parties may collect information about your online activities to provide you with advertising about products and services tailored to your interests. We contract with third-party advertising companies, which may collect information about your use and interactions with the services, over time and across third-party websites and online services. To tailor and deliver this advertising, these third-party companies place, use, or rely on the technologies described above, including cookies, clear gifs, device identifiers and similar technologies to obtain information about customer interactions through interactions with online services. These companies use the information they collect to send you ads that are targeted to your interests.

Aggregated Information. Company may use aggregated or de-identified information (not containing personal information) (“Aggregated Information”) to analyze trends and improve its Services.
Compliance with Laws. Company may disclose Customer Personal Information to a third party if (a) it believes that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or (b) to protect the security or integrity of the Services from harm or illegal activities.
Business Transfers. Company may share or transfer Customer Personal Information in connection with any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of the business to another company. Company may share or transfer Aggregated Information to affiliate or related companies for its business purposes.
California Residents. Customers residing in California are considered consumers under CCPA. They have certain additional rights including with respect to their personal information, which are described in our California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA) policy. Company upholds the right of non-discrimination as defined under CCPA.
Retention Policy. Company retains Customer Personal Information as long as necessary to provide the Services unless a longer period is required or permitted for legal or compliance purposes.
Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a “do not track” (“DNT”) option. Company does not respond to DNT signals.
Security. Company employs industry standard organizational, technical, administrative and technological measures that are reasonably designed to help protect information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. While Company takes reasonable efforts to guard information, no security system is impenetrable.
Policy On Information Collected from Children. This Site and Services are not directed at children under the age of 13. Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
Changes. Company may need to update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to its Services and the laws applicable to its provision of the Services. If Company does change this Privacy Policy, it will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy on the Site. Continued use of this Site or the Services after the posting of such notice will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy.
